A book design project for an project where we dove down into a subject of our own choosing. The theme of the book is how to make boring art interesting to yourself. It contains a lot of methods and examples of how I make paintings interesting to myself, methods which can be used for any subject. The message of the book is that you can make anything interesting for yourself, you just have to find the right angle. Some of the chapters are about looking at details, symbolism, fun facts, art history memes, and colours. The book is hand bound, and the cover can be folded out so you can se all of the paintings on the inside. The book shown below is a dummy, and not a finished copy.

I am a graphic designer and illustrator who lives in Bergen, and works as a risograph technician, teaching design and art students the process and technique of printing with a risograph, at Faculty of fine art, music and design (KMD), UiB. In May 2020 I finished a bachelor degree in visual communication at KMD. I love the ocean (even though I am afraid of it), collect old photographs and books, and enjoy drinking tea and having a cat on my lap.
